Kandinsky bezog das malen von farben und bildern auf einer leinwand oft mit der komposition schöner musik , und als solche , nannte viele seiner gemälde varianten der komposition . Seine analogie der kunst als musikalische komposition drehte sich um das klavier : die augen waren die hämmer , die farbe ist die tastatur , und die seele ist das klavier und die streicher . Ähnlich wie musik , das ist nicht nur ein durcheinander von noten , Kandinsky’s werke waren nicht nur zusammenschlüsse nicht unterschiedlicher formen und farben . Sie waren sorgfältig arrangierte musikalische elemente , genau proportioniert, um die maximale ästhetische und emotionale reaktion des betrachters hervorzurufen .
